(Almost) everyone knows it and uses it regularly: PayPal is one of the largest online payment systems in the world, currently available in at least 26 currencies and 203 countries such as Algeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lithuania and the United Kingdom, to name just a few. Most online retailers today offer PayPal as a payment option. But why is the company so successful?

Do you remember the days when we sent a check or money order to pay for online purchases? Fortunately, traditional paper payment methods such as checks and money orders have now been replaced by PayPal.
More and more people chose the online payment method instead of their credit or debit card, but why is that? Especially in the early days of the internet, where users were inexperienced and regulations had not necessarily caught up with the digital world, data theft occurred more frequently and credit card details could be stolen.
Particularly expensive, however, were money transfers to friends, family members, etc., especially when they live in another country. Many banks still charge high fees today for transferring money to other countries. PayPal, however, offered a free and more convenient alternative.

It is therefore no surprise that PayPal quickly became the preferred payment method for online transfers, as it is simple and convenient to use. And even today, PayPal is one of the leading providers for online payments and money transfers. There are several reasons for this:
